# Install Clout App on your iPhone (https://clout.wtf/guide/install-clout-app/)



A companion app — **Clout App** — must be installed on the iPhone so Clout Uploader can control the device. There are three ways to get it there:

## One-click installation

Requires: paid Apple Developer Account ($99/year). [Enroll →](https://developer.apple.com/programs/enroll/)

This is the simplest method — everything is done in one click inside Clout Uploader.

1. In the **Devices** section, find the Apple authorization area
2. Enter your **Apple ID** (email) and **password** → click **Sign In**
3. Apple will send a push notification with a 6-digit code — enter the code and click **Verify**
   * If you didn't get a push — click **Send SMS**, select a number, and enter the SMS code
4. After signing in, select the device and click **Install**
5. Wait for completion (the progress bar will show stages, usually \~30 seconds)

> **Note:** **Security:** your password is used once for Apple authentication and is not stored. The connection goes directly to Apple servers via HTTPS. No data leaves your computer.

> **Warning:** **Free Apple ID** does not support one-click installation — use the [Xcode method](https://clout.wtf/guide/xcode-manual-install/) instead.

## Trust the developer certificate

> **Warning:** This step is required after **any** installation method. Without it, the app won't launch.

1. On the iPhone, open **Settings**
2. Go to **General → VPN & Device Management**
3. Find the developer profile (contains your Apple ID or Team ID)
4. Tap **Trust**
5. Confirm

After this, Clout App will launch automatically when a thread starts — no need to open it manually.

## Re-signing (free Apple ID)

If you installed Clout App with a free Apple ID, the signature expires after **7 days**. After that:

* **One-click installation** — not available for free accounts
* **Xcode** — open the project and run **Product → Test** ([full steps](https://clout.wtf/guide/xcode-manual-install/))

> **Note:** We recommend a paid Apple Developer Account ($99/year) — the signature is valid for 1 year, no re-installation needed.
